Explain one thing at three levels
One idea, three versions: for the student who reads below grade level, for the middle, for the one who is bored. You will have all three in eight minutes. It will not know your students; you pick which version goes to whom.

I teach [grade 7 science]. Explain [photosynthesis] three ways: one for a student who reads well below grade level, one at grade level, and one for a student who is bored because they already get it. Keep each under 120 words. No jargon in the first one.

The first version is still too hard. Rewrite it for a student who reads at a grade 3 level, with one everyday comparison, and no word over three syllables.

If it still uses a word like "chlorophyll" without explaining it, ask again. It should sound like something you would say out loud.
Turn the top one into a challenge

Turn the third version into three questions that would stretch a student who already understands it, and give me the answer you would accept for each.

Questions that need reasoning, not recall. If they are lookup questions, say "harder" and it goes harder.
Watch out
Do not paste a student's name or work into it. "A student who reads below grade level" is all it needs.
